About the Role
We’re hiring a Talent Partner to lead how we attract, hire, and support people throughout their time at Origin. This is a new role with full ownership of the employee journey, from defining roles and finding the right people, to onboarding them, supporting their growth, and ensuring a thoughtful, values-led offboarding when the time comes.
You’ll work across all areas of the business, partnering with hiring managers, department leads, and the People team to create an employee experience that’s inclusive, values-led, and unmistakably Origin. That includes understanding our brand deeply, how it’s expressed in our cafés, products, service, and culture and making sure every touchpoint, from job ad to exit interview, reflects it.
You’ll be hands-on with day-to-day recruitment, drive improvements in our tools and systems, and play a key role in long-term planning and outreach. What You’ll Be Doing
Recruitment & talent acquisition
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across retail, production, and central functions, delivering a high-quality, consistent candidate experience.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to scope roles, define success, and produce clear, inclusive job descriptions that reflect Origin’s tone of voice and brand identity.
- Create compelling job ads and campaigns that feel unmistakably Origin, bringing our story, values, and culture to life.
- Manage our ATS (Teamtailor), improving workflows, visibility, and candidate journey.
- Proactively source candidates for leadership, strategic, and hard-to-fill roles using outreach, referrals, and market insight.
- Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs through networking, mapping, and community engagement.
Inclusive hiring & employer brand
- Partner with the Brand team to develop and protect our employer brand, ensuring it aligns with our customer-facing identity and reflects the same quality, service, and authenticity.
- Create careers content and storytelling that shows what it’s really like to work at Origin.
- Embed inclusive recruitment practices, supporting Origin’s JED&I goals.
Onboarding, retention & offboarding
- Lead onboarding processes to deliver a consistent, values-driven welcome from offer to the first 90 days, making sure it reflects our brand tone and standards.
- Connect onboarding with wider employee lifecycle processes and retention goals using Bob (HRIS).
- Gather new hire feedback and data to identify trends and improve early-stage experience.
- Partner with the People team to manage offboarding in a way that reflects Origin’s values and leaves a positive final impression.
- Conduct and analyse exit interviews to inform retention and culture strategies.
Capability building & process improvement
- Upskill hiring managers through toolkits, coaching, and regular support, including how to represent the brand in recruitment.
- Manage agency relationships where needed, ensuring cost-effective, values-aligned partnerships.
- Support workforce planning with People and Finance teams, including forecasting and longer-term talent strategy.
- Share insights and metrics with the SLT and our investor board.
- Contribute to broader People projects, including progression, reward, recognition and performance.
Flexibility
- Provide support across the employee lifecycle, including contract generation, L&D coordination, and general People team administration when required.
What You’ll Bring
Skills & Behaviours
- Proven end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally in a Talent Partner or similar role.
- CIPD Level 5 or willingness to work towards
- Experience hiring in hospitality, retail, or service-led environments.
- Understanding of speciality coffee or willingness to learn.
- Ability to quickly understand and champion a brand, and translate it into recruitment processes, messaging, and experience.
- Strong direct sourcing and talent pipeline skills.
- Proficiency with ATS (Teamtailor preferred) and comfort managing systems and processes.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
